Did you even read the article?
The point was how little (4 part per million) can be deadly. And btw most brake parts cleaner is "non flammable" but can
be deadly when mixed with Argon gas

Yep, I've read it. This story has been around for awhile. As a general rule welding fumes are toxic wether or not you add brake clean. Ever try to weld galvanized? No fun. Burn some paint? How about undercoating? Your nose tells you it smells bad get away, listen to your instincts.

As for non flamable brake clean, I've set plenty of it on fire pretty easily. Treat it as what it is: a flamable toxic mix of chemicals (no matter how good the buzz)

I'm in auto repair, there's lots of toxic stuff I deal with daily, lot's of it is flamable. Some is nasty to the skin too. Not to mention physical hazzards (flying debris when grinding or drilling)

Not every body is in the auto repair business, not only that I have seen women and kids near mechanics welding and working, Im sure they really dont know that the fumes from welding could kill them.
