It is what it is.
I was wondering why I was having a hard time logging on to the site yesterday.
Yes. November 18 weekend. People riding and partying, just not the big bash anymore.
Welcome. This forum is pretty much dead anymore. Facebook has taken over.......
Yep, it's business as usual there.
I don't know how I missed this thread? Anyway, l'll be there this morning.
Looks like ya'll were having a bad day.
I feel for ya buddy.
Never heard of it.
Welcome. Glad you had a good time.
The messed up part with the Forbidden Zone is; we all paid $600 for our spots when he took over around Memorial Day, and now he's trying to collect again 10/31/15 saying the season is 10/31/15 thru...
Heading to Hatfield that weekend.
Friday sometime (hopefully early) till Sunday morning with the wife and the whole crew at my camp.
Welcome. You need to be REALLY careful if you ride without someone that knows the trails. Things can turn sketchy real fast.
Yes, the Forbidden Zone campground is open again. The trails have never been "open". Actually, now that the camp is open again, that property (which isn't that much) is the only legal place to ride...
Dave actually owns that property (15 acres).
I talked to him about it Sunday morning. He said he will get it done. I'm assuming this week
There is an old motor home at the top of the hill/beginning of the Forbidden Zone that he uses for an office. If he's not there, he'll be around to collect from you, either on a Honda utility quad or...
I've been talking quite a bit with Dave when I'm up there. He is definitely all about doing what it takes to keep us coming up there. I even talked him into taking his dozer to the mud holes (Pig...
The weather forecast is calling for 100% chance of rain. I probably won't go.
I'll be there in my RZR. It's been a few weeks.
You definitely want to find a unit with an extended warranty if you can. Mine has paid out over $5000 already. This sounds like a good buy for you.
An 800 will go just about anywhere, but if you could swing a 900, you won't regret it. Not only for the power and longer wheelbase, but the suspension handles so much better
It started out as just a late night booze cruiser for me, but I don't care what anyone says; they are a blast. Don't get a RZR until you're ready to retire your quad. Ever since I got mine, I don't...
I got nothin' for ya on this one bub. Joe would probably be the man.
And try to get a unit with power steering. It makes a huge difference.
I'm pretty sure other than when they went to the 60" wide "S" model, they are all pretty similar other than that.
Yeah, pretty much.
Other than the usual things to look for like frame damage or smoke out of the exhaust, there isn't anything specific to look for.
All RZR's that ride rough terrain like we do eat wheel bearings,...
I really don't have any ideas. For what you're thinking, you would either have to drop it from above, or throw it across after the rider passes. Riding over it could cause problems.
It's all in what you have to spend and what you want. The 800-S will go about anywhere, but are short and lack power. The 900 is really about perfect. Then the 1K is shittin' on everything else right...
When I was leaving Sunday morning, Dave said he had already collected over $5k in non member/park & ride money. I didn't ask how many camp sites he sold.
He also said he has about another 500 tons...
You'll have to go up there. He's around on the weekends for sure. Campsites are $600 and come with 4 passes. Additional passes are $150 each. Park and ride is $10/day per person.
For a guy that goes by Red&Black, you sure do change colors a lot. :) Sweet ride buddy.
It's looking dry and dusty. I think that's better than how it turned wet and greasy like last year.
What's your riding plans for MDW?
I'm trying to be there from Thursday evening 7-8:00 until Sunday morning.
I don't care who you are; you have to admit the Wellsville margarita days at the Village were awesome!
Nothing is safe anywhere at Wellsville. Yellowcreek is waaaaaay more expensive and gated and nothing is safe there either.
Sept. 5 is Labor Day weekend. I won't be going that weekend. We'll have to see about August. That place gets really hot in the summer.
I think everyone had to buy a wristband. Chris and Randy's girls did.
Says there was 4000 plus in attendance. I would...
That is a badass picture.
So far; 13 SxS's, 1 quad, 2 dirtbikes. Plus what you and Ian bring if you guys are still coming.
If everyone goes that says they're going, there should be about 20 people in our group.
That shit is funny as hell!!!!!!!
Yeah, I've been watching it. It will change 100 times before then, so let's just hope for the best.
I talked to the people at Rush; they are considering cancelling the event since the GSXR buggy is a no show.
Should be 6 of us (5 SxS's and 1 quad); me, Rollover Randy, Road Rash Randy, Bellissimo, Aries and Dan. Trying to leave at noon on Thursday. There is supposed to be a bunch meeting us down there.
Fuck it then.......I won't go either, then no one else will go and it's all gonna be your fault.
This place has never been "open", and the only place you can park is the freezone.
I've been to a bunch of bouncer/buggy events, but I haven't been to a mud truck/bog event either. I would think she'll be good at this one since it's really not a mud event except for the mega...
You should probably just stick to riding on the hard ground with rocks and trees and other potentially dangerous obstacles. You seem to do fine there. It's the softer coal and sand with no obstacles...
Shit man, riding hasn't been very good to you. Might be time for one of those gay SxS's.
Seriously though; I hope it all works out for you and you heal quick.
It says "Big Air Contest". Now I'm really getting pumped about this.
Yeah, it's too cold to putt around in a RZR, so he's flying around at 90 mph on a sled. That makes sense, huh? Hahaha
Hahaha That's what I was thinking......or get redemption.
3427 It's getting better.
This thread was for last Sunday.
Yeah, it looks like the beginning of the end.
Drifting with a 30000lb 40' bus for a 1/2 mile trying to get out of there was no fun.
If it's not a complete rainout, we'll go down with my truck & enclosed trailer. If it's dry the week before and...
That's what I said. If there is ANY rain in the forecast, the bus is staying home. That was not a good situation for me.
Me and Randy were just talking about this on Saturday. We'll be there.
Well......I saw what looks like it could be the beginning of the end of Oak Tree as we know it. There are some stakes in the upper main parking lot, and there is a big machine with a probably 10'...
We'll be there on Saturday. Might even come down Friday afternoon.
That was almost really bad.
3419 -13 degrees at 8am in the Freezone today. It was 13 above at 2:00.
I just might come down for the day on my quad. No chains here though, so I'll go where I can.
Do the two wheel rules apply if preacher rides a wheelie all the way to the top?
What's up with the neglected party rig in the background? Are you conserving water, or savoring Turkey Shoot memories?
What's up buddy? I can't go, but I'm sure it will be sloppy. I was there Saturday and it was nice riding until the temperature got above freezing. Then my tires were throwing softball sized chunks at...
I'll be there Saturday early am. Should be able to get up to camp.
That's right........rub it in buddy. Hahaha. Congrats on that man.
The 1K's are 120" long, so no chance of loading the them sideways. And 64" wide, so they can't be loaded beside each other either.
Nice! I wish My trailer was 2' longer so I could haul 2 1K's in it. We have 2 RZR's on my 24' flat trailer and 2 of us have to drive solo because the other 2 RZR's would be rubbing against each other...
What, where and when is this hillclimb comp you speak of?
Sweet. Sounds like a good show. I'm in.
Not that it's a major project, but right now I have my RZR tore apart so I can upgrade my sound system. I'm putting a sub enclosure and another 10" sub in the dash. And mounting another amp in the...
He's gonna get started with those numbers. I'll let you know what he says.
Randy says he needs the model and serial numbers. Let me know if you can get them.
Rollover Randy is an HVAC tech. I'll call him later this morning to see if he can get parts for you.
I broke my liver. 5 of us drank 6 cases of Bud Light. Can you tell?.......
Welcome. Not very much is mild/flat at the 'ville.
Great......another trail plugger. Hahaha
It's ok though, we know you don't want to play with us anymore.
I'm sure he won't be far behind since everyone's shittin' on him now.
I'm not sure. He was at my camp waiting for us Saturday when we got back. He had a dirtbike, but has a 700xx too. His name is Scotty.
Oh yeah; Jay and his nephew both just bought XP1K's. So we'll have 4 XP1K's, a 900s, a Maverick and some quads in our crew.
Who's all coming down? I'll be there Friday noonish till Sunday morning.
I want to go up to camp if I can get up there.
I'd really like to see that hill in person.
Right now, the Village drive is slick but makeable. I would say the evening rain tomorrow won't hurt the conditions.
We're riding Friday afternoon till Sunday morning. Gonna miss you again.
I know me and Randy will be there next weekend Friday pm till Sunday am with a few others.
The class A hill must be the one that Brad wasn't making. I'll have to take a look at that one. The first one I went up was really easy. Hell, I went half way up eyeballing it then just hit the gas....
We saw them sitting at the bottom. I pulled in and asked if anyone was up there and then hit the one on the left, and Chris hit the one on the right and that's where he broke his right front axle.
The GSXR buggy shits on everyone.
No, the weekend after. Family stuff this weekend and next weekend (Halloween).
